Aeropostale Reports Over $4,500 in Stolen Clothes in 3 Incidents
Incidents came just after True Religion reported over $1,000 in stolen merchandise.
Employees at Aeropostale reported two separate incidents in January during which they said two groups of people took over $4,000, and $740 in assorted women's clothing.
The alleged incidents occurred just before True Religion reported that a foursome - all of whom are still at large and wanted on grand larceny charges - stole over $1,000 in clothes from its Tanger store.
According to police, the Aeropostale employee said that on Jan. 8, three Hispanic males and one Hispanic female worked as a group in removing $4,000 worth of clothes, fleeing unnoticed. The store employee told police that the incident was caught on video tape, and could not be copied for police until or about Jan. 30.
On Jan. 14, an Aeopostale employee said that two Hispanic males and one Hispanic female removed women's clothing, this time roughly $740 worth.
