Kent Waives Cat Adoption Fees In April

All cas adopted at Kent are spayed and neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.

Kent Animal Shelter, with an eye toward helping to spring felines from the facility as they find permanent homes, will waive adoption fees for cats during the month of April.

All cats six months of age and older that are up for adoption will have their adoption fees waived for the entire month of April.

“After a very successful month of free adoptions of cats six months and up in January, we hope to have a repeat in finding many of our resident cats new homes this April,” Pam Green, executive director of Kent Animal Shelter, located in Calverton, said. “We are happy to waive the adoption fee for these cats who deserve to find loving forever homes.”

All cats adopted at Kent are spayed or neutered, microchipped and given their vaccinations prior to adopting, Green said. Potential cat adopters who are looking to bring new felines into their lives will also save on the cost of these veterinary procedures, Green said.
