Police: Box Truck Drivers Stole $11,000 in Aluminum From EPCAL Business

At least the third break-in resulting in stolen goods at EPCAL of 2011.

After approximately $11,000 of aluminum u-channel was allegedly stolen from Eastern Fence, a business at Enterprise Park at Calverton, Riverhead Police and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help in identifying the vehicle in the attached photo as they seek the culprits. 

According to police, the grand larceny occurred sometime between 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12 and 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 13. Surveillance video showed the box truck entering EPCAL twice. 

The Eastern Fence theft was one of at least three at EPCAL claiming over $10,000 in stolen/damaged goods since the new year began,on the western end of town. In January, a reported $250,000 in damage and stolen copper was taken from Metro Terminals Corporation. In February, Ecor Solutions reported $21,000 in stolen copper.

Anyone with any information about the Eastern Fence crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. Calls will be kept confidential, and information that leads to an arrest could offer a cash reward of up ton $5,000.
