Time to weigh in. Riverhead Patch is looking to unearth the best wings in town. Riverhead's Best is a new weekly feature where we’re asking you – our readers – to tell us your top picks.
Each Monday we’ll list our nominees – this week it’s wings – and ask for your recommendation. Did we leave your go-to spot off the list? Go ahead and add it in comments.
Wednesday we’ll narrow the field, taking your recommendations to put to a vote in the ultimate food-fight poll.
Friday afternoon we’ll announce a winner.

I think Jerry and the Mermaid should be a nominee, even though they are a seafood establishment, they sell chicken wings by the boatload and likely have the most popular wings in town.
They are prepared deep fried but in a sweet soy sauce and can be mild, medium or hot, they are pretty awesome.

Jerry and the Mermaids have the best wings. Meaty, crunchy and a terrific sweet, yet tangy, sauce. Their temps are spot on. Served with blue cheese dessing and celery.
