Here's a look at some of the service times offered in the area for Ash Wednesday.
Ash Wednesday is a special day which marks the start of the Easter season, or lent, for Christians around the world. Locally, several churches will observe the day.
Here are some of the service times offered in Riverhead.
St. Isidore Roman Catholic Church: English mass at 7 a.m., Polish mass at 7 p.m. Prayer services at 12:30, 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.
St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church: English mass at 7:15 a.m., 9 a.m., noon, and 6:30 p.m. Spanish mass at 7:30 p.m.
St. John the Baptist Ukranian Catholic Church: 10 a.m., 7 p.m.
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church: 7 p.m.
