Snake Found Hiding In HomeGoods Potpourri, Woman Claims

The search is on for the snake, now missing.

A woman bought a bag of potpourri from HomeGoods in Riverhead and says she got a little bit more than she asked for.

The woman, Natalie Malik, of Levittown, claims there was a snake hiding inside the bag that she bought from the Riverhead HomeGoods this past weekend, according to  News12LI.

Malik says she began to hear pieces of the potpourri drop on the floor from the dish on the table. When she sifted her hand through the item, she found an 8-inch strip of fresh snake skin.

Malik believes the snake is loose in her house. A reptile shop worker spent Monday trying to help her find it, setting up traps and lining doorways with baking powder with the hope of tracing the snake's tracks.
