Carney has stated about $3.1 million in cuts will be required to balance the budget next year.
3. On Wednesday night, the Greater Calverton Civic Association is holding its monthly meeting at Riley Avenue Elementary School at 7 p.m. Several town department heads, from planning to community development to police to senior citizen directors, will be speaking.
