WATCH: Saturday's Wading River Public Workshop

SWRWeekly.com taped the entire meeting. See what happened for yourself.

Last Saturday morning, hundreds of residents from the Wading River area showed up to St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church for a public workshop about a corridor study covering a handful of commercial parcels along the Route 25A stretch from the Brookhaven Town border to Sound Avenue.

The meeting, which lasted over two hours, saw individuals in favor of preserving the land to keep Wading River's rural feel in tact, while others - namely, the land owners - defended a property owner's right to build within the confines of the law, adding to a tax base and labor force in need of both money and jobs.

To see both sides for yourself, watch the entire meeting here, on SWRWeekly.com.

Much thanks to Kevin Wood with SWRWeekly.com, for sharing.
