Hi. I just saw your post and had to comment. I am very sorry for the loss of your dog. I know how…Read More devastating this could be. East End Emergency is the best place to go in an emergency when your vet is off. I have had a couple of emergencies and the difference between your vet taking care of the dog and EEVEC is a world apart. First off, they are a 24 hour 7 days per week facility. Your vet might have been cheaper but I am sure he doesn't provide that kind of care. Unfortunately, sometimes waiting for your vet is wasting crucial time for your beloved animal. I know that I could not take the chance on the two or three times I had been there. Of course, the bill was expensive. (and I imagine a Great Dane is a lot more expensive than a cat) No, they don't have a payment plan so we had to pay it off on the credit card instead. But, rest assured, the employees at EEVEC are loving, dedicated people. Everyday I received a call and an update. I was able to visit any time I wanted and everything was explained to me so I could understand. Truly, I am sorry for your loss, but I am sure despite the price, that they would have saved your dog. One thing I would suggest, though, after being through this is to get Pet insurance. You will still have to pay up front, but most is reimbursed. (I did this after the last bill of about 3,000). Sincerely, Linda
