Tell us how and why you love YOUR library? Stop in during "Love Your Library" Week, February 12-18, and fill out a paper heart to be placed on the brick wall near the elevator. Interesting quotes may be used in future newsletters or on the Library's website. The Library will celebrate by waiving fines for overdue items returned that week. (Pre-existing fines will not be waived). The Friends of the Library will reward you with cookies, coffee, tea and juice during the week.

More About Riverhead Free Library
After opening its doors anew in July of 2000, the Riverhead Free Library followed a decade later by unveiling a new Web site in the summer of 2010. Information seekers can set up a laptop to receive wireless internet anywhere inside -- there are plenty of seats to choose from -- and a children's room makes coming to the library a special event for kids. There are three computer labs holding 28 computers, as well.
The library also hosts book clubs for social readers, sponsors concerts for music lovers and offers tutors for kids hitting the books. A calendar of events and information can be found on the new Web site.
Note: access to the library's parking lot is actually on Osborne Avenue, not Court Street.
