Ice Cream Social, Aquarium Visits and Architectural Meeting on Wednesday's Agenda

Here's a look at what's happening around Riverhead Town on Wednesday.

- Make some memories with the kids before they head back to school. Stop by the Riverhead Aquarium & Exhibition Center for a full array of programs. 

- Have an egg cream. There's nothing like sitting at an old-fashioned ice cream counter an ordering homemade ice cream. Take a visit to Star Confectionary, affectionately known as Papa Nick's, on East Main Street and enjoy an egg cream, or a taste of summer with the homemade peach ice cream. 

- The Riverhead Central Faculty Association is hosting their annual Kindergarten Ice Cream Socials this week. Kindergarten students and their parents have been invited to come meet their child's kindergarten teacher and the principal from their school. They will also learn about the important role they play in their child's education and hear about the curriculum and goals for these young students. Members of the RCFA will be on hand to answer questions and to dish out the ice cream and pass out other goodies like fire hats, books and more. Wednesday's social takes place for Aquebogue kindergarten students from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Jamesport Fire Department.

- Keep informed with a meeting of the Riverhead Town architectural review board at 4 p.m. at Riverhead Town Hall.

- The Tent Sale continues at Apple Honda, beginning at 8 a.m.
