Ice Cream Socials, Farmers Market and Classic Cars on Thursday in Town

Here's what's happening around Riverhead on Thursday:

- Ice cream socials for kindergartners will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. for the
Phillips Avenue Kindergarten at the Flanders Fire House, and, for the Roanoke Avenue Kindergarten, from  3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Riverhead Fire House on Roanoke Avenue. "The Riverhead Central Faculty Association started the annual Ice Cream Social to extend a warm welcome to new kindergarten students and their parents," explained RCFA member Catherine Kent. "We believe that a partnership between teachers and parents is vital to a successful school experience, and we look forward to a great year."

- A Farmers Market takes place by the Peconic Riverfront, beginning at 10 a.m.

- A town board work session begins at 10 a.m. at Town Hall.

- Classic Cars Cruise nights kicks off at 5 p.m. on the Peconic Riverfront.

- It's "Rolling Thunder," all you can bowl at the All Star for $15 on Thursday.
