Pine Barrens, first released in April 2012, is an American Single Malt Whisky crafted from Blue Point Brewing Company’s Old Howling Bastard barley wine-styled ale. Long Island Spirits and Blue Point Brewery have combined their rich artisan legacy in distilling and brewing to create the first American Single Malt Whisky to be distilled on Long Island. Pine Barrens Whisky takes its inspiration from the old world, and then moves it in a new direction by capturing the rich heritage of its European cousins and adding a craft beer styling to the depth, complexity, and richness of the velvety smooth taste profile. Pine Barrens is pot distilled and hand crafted in small batches, than delicately aged in petite charred American Oak casks for a year.
