Healthcare Symposium - October 16

The healthcare reform law, or "Affordable Care Act," was signed into law by President Obama in an effort to expand availability and affordability so all US residents can obtain access to adequate healthcare coverage. As a result of this new law, many changes will be taking place which will affect local business and industry.  “Taming Healthcare 2014” is a morning program which will assist business owners to abide with new healthcare initiatives and address important healthcare changes and issues facing Long Island’s businesses and industries. The symposium will be held on Wednesday, October 16, from 7:00 am – Noon at The Inn & Spa at East Wind, Wading River, NY.  Keynote Speaker will be Andrew J. Mitchell, President & CEO, PBMC Health & Peconic Bay Medical Center. The program will include an overview panel of Long Island healthcare leaders who will discuss various issues and benefits which will take place as a result of the new law.  "Taming Healthcare 2014" is presented by the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce, the Riverhead Industrial Development Agency and PBMC Health. A contribution of $20 per person is appreciated.
