Students will experience the entire creative process, starting with the screenplay. We will use an established, classic story and update it into a modern day film. Through improvisation and creative writing, students will develop characters and embellish upon the basic story to create an original screenplay. Students will learn the subtle art of acting for film and will shoot in our "studio" (class space) as well as on location.
This class will take place on Sundays, from 2-4:30pm, at the Grange Theatre in Riverhead (Northville). Please note, when shooting begins (mid-October), students will need to be available for extended hours on an as-needed basis. We will try and keep our shoots to Sundays, but may need extra days as schedules allow.
