Volunteer Advocates Needed

Make a difference in the lives of your neighbors who live in Suffolk County's long-term care homes.  Family Service League's Long Term Care Ombudsman Program is seeking volunteers to train as advocates for residents living in nursing homes, adult care homes, and family-type homes.  Volunteer Ombudspersons visit an assigned home once a week to help residents and their families understand and exercise their rights to quality care and quality of life.  For information call (631) 427-3700, x240.
