LaVALLE, ROMAINE ANNOUNCE ENDORSEMENT OF ANTHONY PALUMBO FOR NEW YORK STATE ASSEMBLY

In a joint statement released today, State Senator Ken LaValle and Town of Brookhaven Supervisor Ed Romaine announced their endorsement of Anthony Palumbo, the Republican and Conservative candidate for New York State Assembly. In their statement, the two officials cited Palumbo’s distinguished record of public service on Long Island, and his acute knowledge of the issues facing our local businesses and families during his lengthy time as a small-business owner and homeowner in the 2nd Assembly District.

“Residents need a strong advocate in the New York State Assembly to ensure their voices are heard in Albany,” said LaValle. “I look forward to working with Anthony Palumbo on issues important to residents, such as holding the line on taxes, job creation and access to quality education.  Anthony has run a business and raised a family right here in the 2nd Assembly District, and he knows the challenges we all face. Anthony Palumbo is the right man for this job.”

“Anthony Palumbo has made working for the people of Suffolk County his life’s work,” said Romaine. “Time and again, he has proven himself to be a devoted family man, hardworking small-business owner and a tireless public advocate. He is the person we need representing us in the State Assembly, and I endorse his candidacy.”

"It is such an honor to receive the endorsements of important leaders like Supervisor Romaine and Senator LaValle, and I thank them for their strong words of support,” said Palumbo. “Whether it’s ensuring we receive a fair share of school aid or reforming government to ensure our officials work for us and not their own ambitions, I promise to always work to uphold the trust bestowed upon me, not only by these two pillars of our community, but by everyone I’m fortunate enough to represent.”
