'Beach Boy' in Book Talks?

The man claiming to be Mike Love of the Beach Boys continues weaving tales around Riverhead -- now, he allegedly told one resident he's got a book deal about his adventures in the works.

After a woman said a man stating he was urged her to get on the stage at the recent , saying she would be a contestant on the next ',' Riverhead residents have come forward to describe their run-ins with the man.

Most recently, Tom Edge told Riverhead Patch that the individual came in to on Friday, trying to buy a car.

"I called him out on the recent Beach Boy prank -- he claims its all a master plan to finish up a book he is writing," Edge wrote.

Since the man allegedly has poor credit, he said once his book about his Beach Boys adventure is published, he will be paying cash for his new vehicle, Edge said. "Only in America," he wrote.
