A proposal to revamp the look of Wendy's in Miller Place – put on hold at the last Town Planning Board Meeting – did not make it back on the agenda at the Aug. 19 meeting after being discussed earlier in the month.

Pop In For Make-Up Application At Water Mill Pop-Up

With just two weekends left before Labor Day, a trio of friends are testing their idea for a make-up salon, setting up shop in Water Mill.

Made opened last weekend in the Water Mill Shoppes, and the pop-up shop will be opened in the former Water Mill Cupcake Store just through Labor Day.

"We jumped on an opportunity," Tracy Parsons, one of the owners, said. "It's a quick adventure" to get their feet wet before opening their first store.

Parsons and her business partners Ana Lubar and Nicole Holbrook have been friends for 11 years, since meeting at Bucknell University. They are preparing to open their flagship store in the Flatiron District in New York City in early 2014.

New Mexican Restaurant Opens at Former Trolley Barn Site

A new day dawned for the former Trolley Barn restaurant in Speonk as the new La Copa Dorada Mexican restaurant and bar opened on Thursday.

La Copa Dorada, which means "the golden cup" in Spanish, is a family affair, run by Santon Oseguera and her daughters and other relatives.

New Hard Serve Frozen Yogurt Ice Cream Bar Opens At Yogurt Expressions

Customers hankering for something sweet and cold now have a delicious new choice in Mattituck: A new hand-dipped, hard serve frozen yogurt and ice cream bar has opened at Yogurt Expressions, located at 13175 Main Road.

"Now customers can get ice cream, as well," owner Susan Orioli said. "We have many exciting and new frozen yogurt and ice cream flavors."
