Residents eager for a will have to wait just a little bit longer.
According to the Riverhead Move the Animal Shelter website, a grand opening and ribbon cutting slated for Saturday has been canceled and rescheduled to Saturday, May 12, due to the fact that work on a roadway entering into the park is not yet complete.
But for those looking to support the RMTAS organization, which is planning a total of three dog parks and a new animal shelter in Riverhead Town, a RMTAS Hogs and Hot Rods Rock the Shelter fundraiser will be held on Sunday at Calverton Links to help garner support.
