Feb. 24: Movies, Computers, and Gyotaku

Take a look at what's going on around Riverhead this Thursday.

1. Paiting isn't exactly the first thing most people do with fishes, but your kid can learn the unique skill of at this morning from 9:00 - noon. The course is $30 for EEAC members, and $45 for non-members, plus a $10 materials fee. 

2. Feel like catching a movie? The Riverhead Free Library is hosting a special for school winter break, with a movie and munchies from 4:00 - 6:00 this afternoon. 

Correction: This event will be held tomorrow night, Friday the 25th.

3. For adults at the library this evening is a course on Apple computers, called Intro to the Apple. Distinctly different from PC's, Apple computers take some time to learn. Drop by for an intro from 6:30 - 8:30 tonight. 

4. Looking to knock some points off your insurance? AARP is hosting defensive driving courses for drivers ages 50 and over at the Mattituck-Laurel Library. The  starts today from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The next course, also required for credit, is on Friday morning.
