- Why go: Join the reference librarians and find out what titles are new at the library, enjoy some refreshments and learn what your neighbors are reading.

- Why go: Artists need as many tools as they can get their hands on to market their work. Blogging can be fun and productive.

- Why go: Who doesn’t love a good karaoke party? The proceeds from this benefit go to East End Hospice.

- Why go: The money raised from this event goes to The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation. You’re literally helping stranded seals and turtle with your contribution.

- Where/When: Sunday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Riverhead Free Library
- Why go: This is the place to go for a free hearing and blood pressure check. There will be information available on preventative and screening techniques for the whole family.

- Where/When: Saturday afternoon at 1 at Vail-Leavitt Music Hall
- Why go: While the live performances have been a blast over the past month, listening about how jazz is changing - or not changing - in the digital age will be an interesting conversation to sit in on. Especially considering the discussion panel.
