How Did You Weather the Nor'easter?

Did you lose power again? Tell us how you fared.

Over 10 days after Hurricane Sandy hit the North Fork, some residents are still in the dark without power or heat — and some might have been added to that list after rain and winds (which are still howling as of 6 a.m. Thursday) came through the area again with a Wednesday night nor'easter.

Patch wants to know — did you lose power or sustain any damage from this coda to Hurricane Sandy? Or did you have a nice cozy night by the living room fireplace sheltered from the storm after a grueling week?

Jeannie Jacobs Parisi said on Facebook: "No sun here yet.....My family was very fortunate not to lose any power with the hurricane or the NE, very grateful and feel terribly for all who have suffered and still are, sincerely feel bad"

I've owned my house for 32 years and bought a generator this summer. Darn easy to get in the summer. What if neighbors could share one, or 3 or 4 houses could share and split the cost of the propane. You'd need to all be conservative with power usage- but you wouldn't have to suffer so badly. I helped everyone who I talked with

That sounds like a wonderful idea Ruby but the neighbors around here don't talk to each other . Do not know why but I've lived here in Laurel , NY for 31 years. The storm was alright here just lost some of the shingles and the electric for 3 days but nothing compared to some devestation.
