Kent Offers Low-Cost Microchipping For Pets In March

All adopted pets come already microchipped.

Kent Animal Shelter is giving pet owners a discount on keeping their four-footed friends safe.

During the month of March, Kent wil offer low-cost microchipping for pets -- and credited the initiative to McGee, a cat reunited with his owner afer three years apart, due to the fact that he was microchipped when originally adopted at Kent.

After three years, Kent representatives said, McGee’s owner Charlene Lanigan -- who had kept hope alive that he would be located -- got the long-awaited call that he had been found; the pair were reunited at the Islip Animal Shelter.
