Last Minute Ways to Save Mother's Day

Here are some great ways to give Mom a wonderful Mother's Day.

If you forgot to buy Mom a card or make reservations for a fabulous brunch -- no worries. Here are some great ways to treat Mom and turn Mother's Day into a wonderful memory she'll treasure forever.

Take her to lunch or dinner: Digger's is serving a delicious Mother's Day brunch -- Moms get a free Bloody Mary or mimosa; brunch is served until 3 p.m.

Buy her flowers: The 18th Annual East End Garden Festival, a fundraiser for Peconic Bay Medical Center, is a huge sale of plants, flowers and shrubs. The event takes place in the Staples parking lot until 6 p.m.

Take Mom for a beach walk: There's nothing more beautiful than a walk on the beach -- the views are free and the conversation and bonding time are priceless.

Bring Mom for karaoke and a toast: Head to Martha Clara Vineyards from 1 to 5 p.m on Mother's Day for Karaoke with DJ Phil. All Moms receive a free glass of wine. Free admission.

Spend the day at the farm: Celebrate Mother's Day with Mom by taking the family to the Harbes Family Farm Spring Fair on Sunday.

The event includes a flower talk for kids, a presentation about the importance of bees, border collies on display, wool demonstrations, live music, singing hay rides, wine tasting, pig races, a farm animal puppet show, and relay races.

Every mom will have their choice of a complimentary Barnyard Adventure ticket or a glass of wine.
