LIE Closures Expected This Week
Night closures, shut-downs during the day on service road, as work on William Floyd Bridge is done.
The Long Island Expressway will be closed nights this week at exit 68 as the State Department of Transportation performs maintenance work on the William Floyd Expressway bridge.
In addition, one or two lanes of the service roads will be closed during the day: the North Service Road, heading westbound, will be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the South Service Road, heading eastbound, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Westbound traffic on the LIE will be shut down from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., and eastbound traffic between 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Work is weather dependent and could be delayed due to inclement weather.
