Long Island Farm Bureau Offering Scholarship Opportunities

The next generation of farmers is being cultivated.

With an eye toward cultivating a new crop of future farmers, scholarships are being offered to students planning a career in agriculture.

The New York Farm Bureau and the Long Island Farm Bureau have teamed up to encourage high school seniors who have been involved with agriculture and plan on continuing an education in the field to apply for the New York Farm Bureau Agricultural Youth Scholarship, sponsored by the New York Farm Bureau Promotion and Education Committee.

Scholarship award amounts are $1500 for first place, $1200 for second and $1000 for third place. The first place winner will be invited to present their essay at a NYFB spring event.
