Pumpkin Pickers Take Stakey's All-You-Can-Carry Challenge

How many pumpkins do you think you can you carry at once?

If you can load your arms with pumpkins, you can get a deal at Stakey's Pumpkin Farm, located at 270 West Lane in Aquebogue.

That's right, the 26-acre farm is offering all-you-can-carry pumpkins for $25 — patrons just have to be willing to load their arms with pumpkins and walk a few feet to the check-out line.

This past weekend, numerous customers took the challenge — their families carefully balancing pumpkins on their loved arms, then cheered them on to finish line.

The trick to accomplishing the feat, staff workers say, load the pumpkins with stems facing down.
