Readers Sound Off: Cell Service on the North Fork
Cell users say cell service has been terrible.
We been hearing that cell service in the area is the worst it has ever been and on Tuesday, we asked Patch readers if they have been having a hard time with their cell service.
Readers confirmed there is a problem. The following is a round-up of what they had to say.
Debbie Peters July 23, 2013 at 07:28 pmI have been having constant issues in Manorville and Center Moriches. Once you are South of Montauk Highway especially the further South you go, there is no service. It's very frustrating when you pay so much money.
Chiefeo: Verizon cell service very spotty in Mattituck, especially bad by the shopping center on the Main road. Also, in Southold, by Feather Hill shopping area.
Rich Anderson: There is no good reason why cell phone reception is so terrible out east. You would think the phone companies and the Southold Town government would ensure complete coverage in the name of public safety and awareness.
Sue Duffe: I live in Orient Point. I get no cell phone service from my house - Would love to be able to use my cell phone.
