Riverhead Veterinary Hospital Website Hacked By Islam Extremists

The website of a popular Riverhead veterinary hospital had a message Tuesday.

A hacker plastered an Islamic message on the website of a Riverhead animal hospital Tuesday.

According to The Sag Harbor Express, the East End Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center in Riverhead was hacked Tuesday afternoon by the same group claiming to have hijacked Sag Harbor Village’s website.

The Sag Harbor Express said the Facebook page of Fahd Al Murar, whose name on the page is KJ-FIDO, allegedly claimed responsibility for sending a message on the vet's website, pet-er.com.

“The website is down by web-soldiers team from Islamic Electronic Army(Alqaeda Army),” the webpage read, according to the Sag Harbor Express. "Freedom to all Muslims everywhere.”

The Village of Sag Harbor’s website was briefly taken over Tuesday morning, by "Web Soldiers Team from the Islamic Electronic Army," according to article.

A woman who answered the phone at the East End Veterinary and Emergency Center late Tuesday afternoon, when asked if their website had been hijacked, said "yes," but declined to give her name and said the office administrator was not in to answer questions.

Riverhead Town police said no police reports had been filed about the incident.

According to the article, the hackers on the Village of Sag Harbor website showed a video of Osama bin Laden.
