Mourners will pay their respects Thursday night for Mirian Garcia, a 29-year-old Flanders .
A wake will be held Thursday night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at in Riverhead. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. at the on Middle Road, according to staff at McLaughlin Heppner.
Police have determined that the death of Mirian Garcia was a homicide. Her body was found near the Department of Motor Vehicles in Peconic Plaza, the site of where her family said she was headed the night she was last seen. It is not clear whether she ever arrived or who drove her that night.
Sister Margaret Smyth of the North Fork Spanish Apostolate said she has been in touch with Garcia's grieving family.
