Snow Headed For Region Again On Tuesday
The highest accumulations will be seen in the western portion of the region, according to experts.
Another round of snow is headed to the Long Island and New York City region on Tuesday.
According to Lauren Nash, meteorologist for the National Weather Service office in Upton, a winter weather advisory is slated for most of the area, except for eastern Suffolk County and the East End.
In New York City, Nassau County, and Western Suffolk, a winter weather advisory is expected to be in effect from 4 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday; western Suffolk will see the advisory from the hours of 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Western areas, including New York City and Nassau, could see as much as three to five inches, with western Suffolk closer to two to four inches. The East End should see the least accumulation, Nash said, probably around two inches.
Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30s on Tuesday, with highs close to 40 degrees, and winds between five and 10 miles per hour are expected.
