According to manager Sherri Hysell, when Snowflake employees learned Steve had been chosen to fly to Las Vegas and appear as a contestant on the show, they put out a cheer for him on the store's Facebook page, urging customers to watch Steve on Monday night.
The mail carrier, who comes into the shop every day, wasn't allowed to divulge the outcome of the show, which was taped months ago, until the episode had aired.
On Tuesday, Hysell said while Steve did not win the grand prize, he came home with a trip and other prizes.
In honor of his TV debut, Hysell said the shop was offering "Steve the Mailman Ice Cream," a concoction created of vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips and cherry dip.
The ice cream is still available. "Come in and try some," Hysell said.
