The Riverhead Business Improvement District hosts a cardboard boat race downtown on Sunday.
The Riverhead Business Improvement District hosted the second annual cardboard boat race along the Peconic Riverfront on Sunday. Registration began at 9:30 a.m. with the first race kicking off at noon.
Riverhead Supervisor Sean Walter and Southampton Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst started the afternoon with the supervisor race.
