Video: Hundreds Flock To Riverfront for Fireworks

Downtown Riverhead was alive with patriotic spirit on Tuesday night.

Hundreds of residents young and old gathered on the Peconic Riverfront in downtown Riverhead on Tuesday night for fireworks and fun.

In the hours before the fireworks, bands Misspent Youth and Johnny Zarrow played for the spectators.

Bringing picnics and patriotic spirit -- some were seen in carrying flags and wearing red, white and blue attire -- crowds laughed and children played with light sticks. But all eyes were on the main event when the firework display kicked off at approximately 9:15 p.m.
