Weekend Guide: Trinca Family Raffle, Gospel Concert

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are some highlights for what's planned around Riverhead. For more, see our events page.

1. The will host from Haft 2 Laugh Productions on Friday from 8 to 10 p.m. Admission is $20 and there will be special Comedy Show Menu served in the Indigo Ballroom with seating starting at 7 p.m. or you can dine a la carte at Bistro 72, with recommended seating no later than 6:30 p.m.

2. The Riverhead Faculty Community Theater will perform the at the this Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $12 in advance, $15 at the door, and $5 for students and children 17 and under.

3. On Saturday, "," a worldwide storytelling event, will come to the from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The free event, geared towards adults and children over 12-years-old, will feature folk tales and song.

4. On Saturday, an Ultramax racing go-kart will be at the Riverhead Raceway to benefit the Trinca family, who in October. Jason was an avid go-kart racer and a regular at the Riverhead track. The proceeds will be used to pay off the family's hospital expenses for children Christopher and Marialena, who were seriously injured in the crash. Tickets are on sale at the track for $25 each, or $100 for five.

5. The 25th annual will be held Saturday at the Friendship Baptist Church at 59 Anchor Street in Flanders. The free concert features the 85-member Harvest Gospel Choir and soloist performances.
