As little children, snuggling under the covers on Christmas Eve, there was always one present that we were really, really hoping Santa would pack into his sleigh.
I'll never forget the Christmas morning I found my new dollhouse set up under the tree. For years, every Christmas meant new furniture or other accessories for that dollhouse. I loved it then -- and today, tucked in my basement, although it's dusty and worn, it still shimmers with the magic of Christmas morning.
When I got older, my son, Billy, was born on Dec. 29 -- so although he came a few days after Christmas, he'll forever be the greatest Christmas gift of my life.
