10 Places to Catch a Holiday Performance

Hear the sounds and see the sights that go along with the holiday season by attending these local performances!

If you're in the mood to hear some "fa la la la la's" and other seasonal sounds, then make sure you battle through the cold weather and check out these performances. We gathered the most entertaining holiday performances we could find, just for you! Don't be afraid to sing and dance along!

1. 

The Mattituck Presbyterian Church will host the chorale as they perform "You'll Be Singing White Christmas," on two occasions. They have shows this Friday and Saturday starting at 8 p.m.. A third show will be performed at 3 p.m. at the Orient Congregational Church. Tickets for all performances are $10.

This local gospel group will spread the cheer by singing holiday songs at the Jamesport Meeting House at 4 p.m. on Sat. Dec. 4. Tickets to the show are $15. 631-722-5170.

The Custer Institute is hosting is annual holiday party, where the ensemble will perform holiday classics. Donations are suggested. 631-765-2626.

4. "The Wonder of Christmas on Stage" at

This production will definitely make you feel the spirit of the holiday. Ticket proceeds will go towards helping people in the community. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.. Dec. 9-11. 631-722-4969.

6. Riverhead Middle School Jazz Band, Show Choir and Orchestra

Sixty voices will fill the inside of the Mattituck Presbyterian Church as they sing classical holiday songs, directed by Ronald W. Wickey. The choir will perform at 8 p.m on Dec.10-11. Tickets are $15. 631-477-0648.

8. Vienna Boys Choir

At 8 p.m. on Dec. 11, this praised choir will perform at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center. They will perform holiday favorites for all ages! Ticket prices range. 631-288-1500.

9. St. Rosalie's Music Ministry

The ministry will perform "To Bethlehem" as a way to celebrate the birth of Jesus. It will take place on Dec. 7 from 7:45- 9 p.m., after the Holy Day Vigil Mass in the church. 631-728-9461.

10. Preservation Hall Jazz

If you are going to this event, you are not at the Preservation Hall in New Orleans, but you can close your eyes, listen to jazz and pretend that you are. The Arts in Southold Town are hosting this event on Dec. 11 in the Southold High School auditoriam at 8 p.m. Student tickets are $10, adult tickets are $40. 631-734-6320.
