Don't Miss: Riverhead Idol Auditions Tuesday

A popular event in Riverhead is back for its tenth year.

The 10th Annual Riverhead Idol: “The Sounds of Time,” will take place on Sunday June 9, at 2:30 p.m. at the Vail-Leavitt Music Hall.

Auditions take place Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Riverhead High School, and continue Thursday, May 16 at 3 p.m. in the middle school. A make-up audition date, for students who couldn't make Tuesday or Thursday's auditions, is scheduled for Friday at 3 p.m. in the middle school.

Past themed events have included songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and Motown. Students participating in the 2013 Idol will be able to choose a song from any era.

Beth Maccagli and Rose Sanders, who have produced the Idol event for the past nine years, have and volunteered again for this year's show.
