“Death Becomes Her: Objects and Art of Death and Mourning" Opening Reception

The Suffolk County Historical Society's new exhibit, “Death Becomes Her: Objects and Art of Death and Mourning" opens
The exhibit feature contemporary artworks from EEAC artists, objects and artifacts from the historical society's collection, like Victorian era mourning jewelry, memorial hair wreaths and hair jewelry, mourning veils, a tombstone and coffins. It is on view through May 26. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This exhibit runs concurrently with the East End Arts Gallery "La Morte," which opens the same evening.
