Hidden City Orchestra to Play at Jamesport Meeting House

Corky Maul and the Hidden City Orchestra will perform at the Jamesport Meeting House on Saturday, May 28 at 7 p.m.  The program will be based on a concert performed there in 1880 that featured music from 1680 and 1780. Tickets for adults are $15 and $10 for students and are available at Duffy's Deli in Jamesport, Blue Door Gallery in Riverhead, and Cecily's Love Lane Gallery in Mattituck.

The Jamesport Meeting House was built in 1731 by the settlers of Riverhead Town.  It is the oldest public building on the East End of Long Island and has a direct connection with the area’s Puritan heritage.   It was acquired in 2008 by the Jamesport Meeting House Preservation Trust to restore and keep it in community hands in perpetuity.   It is a Riverhead town landmark and on the National Register of Historic Places.  The Meeting House is located at the corner of Manor Lane and Main Road in the center of the Jamesport  Historic District.
