1. Track athletes of all ages and schools hit the road today in multiple meets across the Island. Riverhead and Mercy boys' and girls' varsity teams head to New York City for the , while Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood is hosting a .

4. In the arts, the East End Arts Council hosted an opening reception for its art show, "," last night from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. The show starts of the 2011 theme at EEAC of "The Year of the Collector." The show will run until Feb. 25. But before you go, stay tuned for coverage of the opening.
