New Art Exhibit at Riverhead Town Hall

A Riverhead artist will have his works hung in Town Hall soon.

A new art exhibit is slated to be unveiled soon at the Riverhead Town Hall gallery.

East End Arts presents Riverhead artist George Camalich, exhibiting paintings of “Land & Sea."

The exhibit will open on September 3 run through December 3.

The exhibit is open Mondays through Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; all are welcome and admission is free.

Graphic designer Camalich studied art and design at the Pratt Institute, the School of Visual Arts and at New York Technical College. Later, he held various advertising and art department positions, as well as serving as art director for a number of advertising and communications firms.

Notable projects included: U.S. Post Office stamps, the Merrill Lynch bull logo, and Broadway theater posters; the artist has won awards for his graphic photography prints.

The Riverhead Town Hall art exhibits are a collaborative effort on the part of East End Arts and Riverhead to support local artists and introduce their works to the community.
