Local Job Fair, Monday June 18

In addition to the successful local job fair I hosted last month at Suffolk Community College’s Riverhead campus, I will be hosting another Job Fair on Monday, June 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Riverhead Free Library at 330 Court Street in Riverhead, right next to my district office.

This is the second of three job fairs I am hosting this summer with the Suffolk County Department of Labor.  Several people were hired on the spot at the last event, and I urge the region’s college graduates and skilled workers to attend this event to find their first job or land a new and rewarding employment opportunity.  There will be a number of employers from various fields at this event.  I strongly encourage anyone looking for employment to join us on June 18.  

Employers attending the event include: FedEx, Home Depot, United States Navy, Sara Companion Services, Attentive Care, New York Life, Tri-County Home Nursing Services, Ace Group/Combined Life insurance, Developmental Disability Institute, NBTY, Manpower, Briarcliff College, United Health Care, St. Joseph’s College, Affinity Health Plan, SCO Family Services, Island Drafting and Technical Institute, AFLAC, United States Customs and Border Protection, SCCC-Western Campus: High Technology and HVAC/R and Advance Manufacturing Training Center and others.

Employers may conduct interviews on the spot, so bring a copy of your resume and dress for success.
