Cops Search for Fatal Hit-and-Run Suspects
Two men fled on foot following a car crash on Route 58 that left a woman dead, local media are reporting.
Police are reportedly searching for two men who were involved in a fatal hit-and-run on Route 58 Tuesday night, killing a woman near the high school.
According to Riverhead News-Review and RiverheadLocal, the driver of a Cadillac sedan and the passenger fled the scene on foot after hitting the woman as she walked down Route 58 near Woodcrest Avenue.
New York State police said that they were assisting Riverhead Police in the investigation and K-9 units and helicopters were spotted in the area in pursuit of the suspects.
