UPDATE: Missing Ridge Man Found Unharmed

Police had issued a silver alert for Ridge resident Caleb Hodges, who was last seen taking a bus to the Peconic Bay Medical Center on Wednesday.

Updates, Friday 10:40 p.m.: Police said that Hodges has ben located unharmed.

Police have issued a Silver Alert, asking the public's help in finding a 71-year-old Ridge man with schizophrenia, and in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease, who was last seen boarding a bus on its way to Riverhead.

Suffolk County Police described the man, Caleb Hodges as a black male, 6-foot-one and weighs 160 pounds. Hodges has black hair, is unshaven, has no teeth and was wearing black army boots. He was last seen at his home at Ridge Rest Home, located at 631 Whiskey Rd. in Ridge at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Authorities said Hodges had boarded a bus heading toward Peconic Bay Medical Center, though never returned back home to Ridge. He reportedly is known to travel to Greenport occasionally to visit friends.
