Blogger Touts the Riverhead Project

One of Riverhead's hottest eateries draws raves.

In the year since Dennis McDermott opened the doors of in the former Chase Bank building in downtown Riverhead, he's continued to wow diners and garner stand-out reviews, including a New York Times rave that said TRP has "turned Riverhead into a dining destination."

Recently, blogger Vera Sweeney, the Garden City mom behind ladyandtheblog.com, called The Riverhead Project an "unexpected foodie
find," and gave the thumb's up to both the fish tacos and the Korean beef tacos
with Kimchi that Sweeney said were "out of control delicious."

McDermott, who opened the eatery in 2011, said he planned to unroll a series of and marketing approaches including a "chefproject" and a "wineproject."

Sweeney gave The Riverhead Project a stellar review, calling it "a really nice space with great food."

Amen! Not only is the food incredible, Dennis and his staff are warm and welcoming and I applaud him for taking a chance in investing in Riverhead and embracing the community. That, in itself, gets my support. I wish them continued success.
