Businesses, Bloggers: Welcome to Riverhead Patch

Claim your business, write a blog, write a review or more with Riverhead Patch. Here's a look at some of those participating.

Riverhead Patch reaches more people every day, and we'd like to start welcoming those taking a role in helping us grow.

Businesses

The following businesses - of all kinds, as you'll see - are just a few which have claimed their listings. You can claim yours too (watch this video) and enjoy more control over your page.

Dark Horse Restaurant: Located at the corner of Peconic Avenue and Main Street, this brasserie-stype restaurant opened in the fall of 2010.

Riverhead Beverage: This Osborn Avenue shop offers a wide variety of beers, from the popular domestics to obscure microbrews to local beers on tap for growler re-fills.

Peconic Bay Medical Center: One of Riverhead's largest employers, this hospital at the intersection of Route 58 and Roanoke Avenue has been around since 1951.

Reviews

On Riverhead Patch, readers can review local businesses to let their neighbors know about places around town, just by clicking on a business listing.

Here is one recent review:

"Excellent service - the owners are very helpful with questions and did an excellent job preparing my meat." - Athena Williams, about Wells Farm

Bloggers

In Riverhead Patch blogging news, Richard Amper of the Pine Barrens Society started blogging this week with Patch. The PBS encouraged locals to take a hike in the Pine Barrens.

Astrologist LeLonni Campbell said people should put off making life-changing decisions until the end of the week.

If you're a new reader or business and want to be highlighted in our weekly round-up or you'd like to blog on Patch, email: Josephp@patch.com.
