Downtown Brewery To Start Brewing Next Week

Crooked Ladder Brewing Co. is expected to have beer ready for customers by the last week of June.

After starting the brainstorming process in 2010, owners of the Crooked Ladder Brewing Co. will get to start brewing at their West Main Street location next week.

The brewery received its final permits on Friday, and brewer Duffy Griffiths said he plans on having beer ready to drink by the last week of June. Griffiths is going to brew up a red-style ale, brown-style ale, pale ale, and either a summer-style or pilsner to start.

Griffiths, Digger's owner Steve Wirth, and his brother David Wirth celebrated the final go-ahead on Friday afternoon, and Griffiths said he hopes to be brewing on Wednesday.
