Boardy Barn Sets Opening Date

The Boardy Barn of Hampton Bays announced its 2013 opening date on Facebook this week — it will officially open for the season on May 19.

The barn also released its schedule through June, including the following dates, May 26, May 27, June 2,9,15, 23 and 30.

Open for the Season: Bay Burger Fires Up the Grills

Bay Burger, in Sag Harbor, opened for the season on Friday. The burger joint will now be open six days a week (closed Tuesdays) from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

While Bay Burger also offers turkey, fish and veggie options, it's the beef burger that is the counter-service restaurant's signature offering.

EAST HAMPTON

360° East Opens At Montauk Downs

This week marked the opening of 360° East at Montauk Downs.

The banquet space at the state park golf course re-opened on April 1 under the new name. Lessing’s Hospitality Group leased the space for 10 years and plans to host weddings, social affairs and corporate events.

Named for its panoramic views of Montauk Lake, 360° East at Montauk Downs also overlooks the Robert Trent Jones-designed 18-hole golf course. The ballroom, which can accommodate up to 350 guests for a standing cocktail party or 225 for a seat dinner, features a high vaulted wood-planked ceilings and dark round chandeliers hang throughout the venue and a giant stone fireplace. There are floor-to-ceiling windows and a wrap-around patio.

RIVERHEAD

Planning on heading into an opening series game at Yankee Stadium or Citi Field? If so, home actually won't be too far.

According to a couple media reports – on CBS New York and Newsday – DeLea Sod Farm will be once again providing sod to the home teams after being grown on DeLea plots all around Suffolk County – from E. Northport to Miller Place to Calverton.
